HASKAR Media ("we", "our", "us") operates this website and its related services. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you control it. We've designed our data practices to be minimal by default.

1. What We Collect

We've grouped the data we collect into three categories:

1.1 Essential Data (always collected)

This data is necessary to serve the website securely and reliably. It is collected under the legal basis of legitimate interest and performance of a contract. It does not require your consent.

• Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type.
• Request data: pages requested, timestamps, HTTP status codes, referrer URL.
• Security logs: basic access logs retained for security and abuse prevention.

This data is processed by our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) and retained for a short period (typically up to 180 days) for security purposes only.

1.2 Analytics Data (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, we collect additional data to understand how people use the site so we can improve it. This is collected under the legal basis of consent and can be withdrawn at any time.

• Usage patterns: which pages are visited, time spent per page, scroll depth, outbound clicks.
• Interaction data: aggregated click positions (heatmaps) used to identify usability issues.
• Referral data: which external sites, campaigns, or links brought you here.

Analytics data is aggregated and never linked to your identity. We do not use this data to build personal profiles, and we do not sell it.

1.3 Data You Provide Directly

• Email address: if you subscribe to our newsletter.
• Message content: if you contact us via email or other channels.

1.4 Blockchain Data (not "personal data" under our control)

Interactions with the $HASKAR token or other on-chain services happen on the public Solana blockchain. Wallet addresses and transaction histories are public by design and are not collected, stored, or controlled by us. This policy does not cover public blockchain data.

2. Cookies

We use three categories of cookies:

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your data strictly for the following purposes:

• Serving the website and ensuring its security (essential data).
• Understanding site usage to improve content and usability (analytics data, with consent).
• Sending you the newsletter you requested (email address, if provided).
• Responding to your direct inquiries.
• Complying with legal obligations if required.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Ever.

We share data only with the following categories of service providers, and only to the extent necessary:

• Infrastructure: Cloudflare (hosting and DDoS protection).
• Analytics: cookieless, self-hosted analytics — no data leaves our server.
• Email: a European newsletter provider that complies with GDPR (only if you subscribe).

All providers are bound by data processing agreements (DPAs) and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing the service to us.

We may disclose data if legally required (e.g., court order), but we will notify you unless prohibited by law.

5. International Transfers

Our infrastructure (Cloudflare) may process data in multiple regions. When we transfer data outside the EEA or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission and additional technical safeguards.

6. Data Retention

• Access logs: up to 180 days.
• Analytics data: up to 13 months, then deleted.
• Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.
• Email correspondence: up to 3 years.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — correct any inaccurate data.
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data.
• Restrict processing — limit how we use your data.
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting past lawful processing.
• Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data: HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, and encrypted storage. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what little data we hold.

9. Children

Our services are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the site and, if you're subscribed, by email. The "Last Updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
