Metaplanet's proposed Bitcoin treasury vehicle has advanced following approval by Super League shareholders at their annual meeting on October 16. The vote clears a major hurdle in the arrangement, which involves Metaplanet's US subsidiary contributing 2,100 Bitcoin and $2.5 million in cash to the platform. After finalizing the deal, the Nasdaq-listed company plans to rebrand as Superplanet and trade under the ticker SUPA. This move positions the Japanese Bitcoin treasury specialist with a potential US capital-markets platform, while Super League will continue its advertising and media operations as a separate business segment.
